Tips & Tricks

  • My advise is to wear solids, avoid large prints and stripes as
they will cause a distraction in the picture
  • Shoes can really "date" a photo. Don't distress about it, lots of families do it barefoot or
we can just hide the old shoes behind another family member. Another great choice is loafers.
  • Do your children's hair.
  • Pick 2-3 colors for a family picture. Try to keep pants the same i.e...all levis, or all tan.
  • For bridal...bring hairspray and bobbypins. Mom, or another friend is fine to watch, but too many, can really distract from our photo session. Remind them to sit back and relax.
  • Keep jewelry to a minimum. We don't want too much bling in the picture.
  • White is great in some situations but can often flush out the coloring in your face or reflect the light.

These are a few, call me if you need some more ideas.
